Don't Try it On, Wear It
by Strella Jasper

Titus 2"...there is neither Greek nor Jew...bond nor free...and there is no respect of persons." Col 3: 11, 25

When you try on clothing in a store you don't know the designer, you don't know where the fabric originated, you don't know how many or whose hands have handled the garment before it was hung on the rack. All you know is that the item caught your attention. What about all the other blouses, slacks, jackets that didn't fulfill your particular view of sartorial perfection?

Too long, too short, too thin, too slick, too dark, too dull, too bright, too light, wrong cut, wrong style, wrong color. Just not you. Even with a little alteration? Nah. Not to worry, someone else will come along and simply love each and every one of your rejects. So what's wrong with your perspective on such popular offerings? Nothing. You're normal. We all have our preferences, our likes and dislikes...our taste.

God's Word is not like that. You don't have to pick around to find that verse you would like to try on. You know the origin, you know who God is. There is no question that He is perfect, all-knowing and supreme. There should be no hesitation to put on the whole Word. You can easily and confidently take home the whole store (Word) knowing that everything fits

Put on the Word and walk in it. It has the power to change you, to rearrange you, to fluff you up and calm you down in all the right places. It will accentuate your positive qualities, erase the bad and fill you up with features you always wanted but could never achieve on your own. The Word is always a perfect fit. It needs no alterations. It needs no adjustments. There isn't a better one down the street at a new boutique. Stop right now and put it on. The covering it offers is heavenly.

Wear it.

Walk in the Word. Live the Word. One size fits all.
