Journey to Love
by Natasha Munson

Thy faith hath saved thee. Luke 18:42

Throughout every major experience I've had in life (from dealing with being molested to relationship breakup to becoming a single mother) I always knew that whatever pain I was dealing with in the moment was only for the moment. I would not give anything or anyone complete power over me. I knew in my heart "this too shall pass."

It is an underlying strength, that I am very conscious of. It has gotten me out of painful situations and terrible moments. It has helped me to see that though I may have made emotional decisions I still had the power to change my life. I had what was necessary to make major life changes. I had true faith.

So many of us talk of faith. So many of us want faith. Faith to me is knowing without a doubt that God will see me through and get me to where I am destined to be. I know that there is not a human in this world that can stop that process or progress. What is meant for me will be. There are no alternatives.

God has all of our lives mapped out. And though it can feel like we've gotten caught up, off track and there is no way back, there is always a way. When you can get on your knees with full and humble heart and say "God, please help me. Help me get through." He will answer you.

Any TRUE cry to God will get answered. I have been there and lived the experience. God will not only lift you up, he will release you into a world you could not have imagined.

Allow God to hear your cry. Allow God to take all your fears, doubts, worries and insecurities away. Allow God to take the pain of whatever happened to you in your childhood and adulthood away. Allow God to be the strength and guide in your life. Then, life will change for you.

You will see and know that no problem is insurmountable. No person can take away God from you. And if they cannot take away the God that exists within you, then they can never take away who you are. They can never take your soul and spirit unless you give it away.

It hurts my spirit and angers me to see someone hold on to his or her painful past. It's like an emotional anchor that they don't know how to let go of. Some people have been holding onto their pain for so long they're no longer aware of how long its been building up within them.

You have to release yourself so that you can move on. If there is at least one area in your life where you are settling or holding on to painful moments, you will block your full blessings in other areas. You will not feel the peace of love and happiness for yourself. If you are still holding onto any anger, you cannot experience true love. If you are still holding on to any pain, you cannot experience true joy. If you do not know that God will handle pain for you, then you are not experiencing true happiness-spiritual happiness.

At this moment, make a decision to be conscious of your choices. Release yourself from all pain. Remove yourself from a painful past. Empower yourself by reclaiming your essence. Unleash your spirit into the world and you will be a force to be reckoned with. For now, forever, and always, God has your back and no one can take that away from you.

"This too shall pass." You will live a life you love!
