Below is a prayer and specific Scriptures for the single woman trusting God for a mate. These Scriptures are personalized. When you speak these out loud you will be speaking the Word of God. It will get the Word into your spirit, renewing your mind to God's will for you. It will build your faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

LET US PRAY: Father, in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, I believe You have provided Your very best for me. And the man that You have planned to be united with me in holy matrimony has awakened to righteousness. As You have rejoiced over Jerusalem, Father, I pray so shall this bridegroom rejoice over me. Thank You, Father, that my husband will love me as Christ loves the Church. He will nourish, carefully protect, and cherish me. I believe that doubts, wavering, and insincerity are not a part of my husband, and he speaks forth Your oracles, God, acknowledging Your full counsel with all wisdom and knowledge. My husband does not speak or act contrary to Your Word. He walks totally in love, esteeming and preferring others higher than himself. Father, I believe that everything not of You shall be removed from my life. And I thank You for the perfecting of Your Word in my life that I may be thoroughly furnished unto all good works. Father, I praise You for the performance of Your Word in my behalf and on behalf of every other single woman I know.

OLD TESTAMENT

Genesis 2:18 -- My husband will know that it isn't good for him to be alone, and that I am to be his helpmate.

Genesis 2:23,24 -- And I am bone of my husband's bones and flesh of his flesh; I shall be called 'woman,' for I was taken out of man. For this reason my husband will leave his father and mother and will be united with me, his wife, and we will become one flesh.

Psalm 127:1 -- Lord, I believe that unless You build the house, its builders labor in vain.

Proverbs 2:11-16 -- Discretion watches over my husband and keeps him away from alien women and from the outsiders with their flattering words.

Isaiah 34:16 -- I will not want (lack) for my mate in fulfillment, for Your mouth, Lord, has commanded and Your Spirit gathers us together.

Isaiah 54:5 -- For You, Lord, the creator, will be my husband. The Lord of Hosts is Your name. You are my redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God of all the earth.

Romans 15:5-7 -- My husband and I will live in mutual harmony and full sympathy with one another, that we will always with one voice and one heart praise and glorify You, Lord, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 7:17 -- Lord, I want to live as you intended, marrying or not marrying in accordance with Your direction and help and accepting whatever situation You have put me into.

1 Corinthians 11:7b-9 -- God, Your glory is man in Your image and man's glory is the woman. For man did not come from woman but woman from man; neither was man created for woman but woman for man.

1 Corinthians 11:11 -- I remember that in Your plan, God, men and women need each other.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 -- Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do it wrong. It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out. If I love someone I be loyal to him no matter what the cost. I will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand my ground defending him.

Ephesians 5:25 -- My husband will love me even as Christalso loved the church.

Ephesians 5:33 -- My husband will love me as he loves his own body and I will respect him as my husband.
